Description ADDS-H-1 is an adjustable, automatic door bottom seal, which is spring, loaded to lift clear of the floor when the door is opened. Operated automatically by pressure against the doorstop on its adjusting screw and incorporates concealed fixings. Location Face mounted on the bottom of single and double butt hinged doors Min/Max Gap 3 to 15mm Seal material Black TPE Rubber Standard finish Aluminum anodized Satin Clear (Silver) Installation SINGLE INWARD OPENING DOORS FIG.1 Remove cover strip with a hacksaw, cut the drop seal at least at latch side squarely to width between stops less 2mm for clearance on latch side .If door width less than 750mm,trim equal amounts from each end to avoid mechanism damage. 450mm is the minimum operable size. FIG.2 Fit adjusting screw (the longest screw) by fully inserting in the hinge side end of the drop seal. FIG.3 With door closed, position drop seal level with door bottom and firm against hinge side stop. Screw fix. FIG.4 Open door and withdraw adjusting screw two turns. For soft timber, fit thumb tack strike FIG.5 Close door gently and observe action of the drop seal. Seal should engage sill lightly. FIG.6 Cut cover strip to width of drop seal. Fit cover strip in channel FIG.7 Push in cover strip lock tabs at each end to hold cover strip. Tap in tabs flush with a small hammer.
